The formulation of the RSSIS-RP framework had been done through a comprehensive assessment of the existing data systems relating to the rural sector and included the review of the institutional/organization capacity of the Philippine Statistical System (PSS). The statistical tables have been generated through visits to the various agencies, particularly those concerned with social statistics such as health, education, infrastructure and finance.

It is hoped that through this webpage, data producers as well as data users will have a better appreciation of the significance of a rural statistical information system. The developed information system is likewise expected to provide sufficient basis for the generation of relevant statistics with urban and rural dimensions.
